The MISSION of Community Consolidated School District 89
is to prepare our students for a successful future through continuous improvement
of learning, satisfaction and resource utilization. 

Community Consolidated School District 89 is a comprehensive pre-K-8 public school district serving students and residents from the southern portions of Glen Ellyn, Wheaton and Lombard.  District 89 is bordered roughly by Finley Road on the east, President Street on the west, Roosevelt Road on the north and I-88 on the south.

Annual Report Meeting Scheduled for Feb. 8

Residents and other stakeholders in Community Consolidated School District 89 are invited to a February 8th meeting where the 2009 Annual Report will be explained in detail and the educational benefits of Smartboard Interactive Whiteboard technology will be demonstrated.

Glenbard Parent Series Presents Speakers and Discussions on Important Teen Topics

District 87 (Glenbard) is hosting a series of parent presentations, including a pre-session parent disccusion group.  All parents who live the the District 87 boundaries are invited to participate in these presentations and discussions.  These presentations are appropriate for parents of middle school students and some are appropriate for parents of elementary school students.

H1N1 Virus Information
 
The H1N1 virus (former known as Swine Flu) continues to spread, and because people between the ages of 5-24 appear to be most affected by the virus, schools must continue to take steps to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Parents are encouraged to visit www.protectdupage.org for information regarding the H1N1 virus.  District 89 will also post information on this site.

Satisfaction Surveys

The District 89 Strategic Plan includes three imperatives. They are: High Levels of Student Achievement, High Levels of Satisfaction, and Effective Use of Resources. The entire educational program in District 89 is centered around these imperatives.

Each year, surveys are done to measure community, parent and staff satisfaction. Executive summaries of the surveys are listed below.
